Hong Kong: 4 June 2009 – About 150,000 people fill up six football fields at Victoria Park attend the candlelight vigil to remember June fourth massacre in Beijing 20 year ago. However, Hong Kong Police estimated only have 62,800, their largest estimate for any vigil except the one in 1990, which they put at 80,000.

Before the candlelight vigil, Ma Lik (馬力), Chairman of the Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong (DAB), a pro-Beijing political party in Hong Kong, questioned whether people could be flattened into meat pancakes by tanks during 1989 June 4 Tiananmen Square massacre : “So find a pig and test if it can be turned into a meat pancake!”
