Hong Kong reaches 34.5 degrees, highest record in June since 1980 (hkdigit-20110609-132113-01)
Hong Kong : 9 June, 2011 - A southerly airstream brought showers and very hot weather to southern China yesterday. Locally, there were showers yesterday morning and 5 to 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Hong Kong Island and parts of the New Territories. It was very hot in the afternoon. The maximum temperature recorded at the observatory was 34.5 degrees, the highest record in June since 1980.
