Police block a road to protestors during 1 July protest (hkdigit-20110701-150500)
Hong Kong: 1 July 2011 – Organisers of this year's July first pro-democracy protest have claimed a turnout of 218,000 people, more than four times the estimated number of last year's March. However, police say the number was 54,000 at its peak.
