2016 Tai Po Waterfront Park Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival – After the Mid-Autumn Night’s Dream
In a contemporary moment in the mid-autumn, the sea reflects the light of the moon. Are we in a dream or a fairy tale? Following the Playing Cards we cut across the garden. Angel whispers afloat while the knight flying on the piano comes alive with gally songs. On the other side of the garden, fairies are celebrating the full moon with spectacular ethnic songs, dance and acrobatics. Elegant ballerinas brush by while jazz and Chinese music are playing alongside the Fantasy Wheels! Meanwhile. lovely angels and naughty clown are hiding in the crowd…
Stroll with us in the mid-autumn moonlight. Let the wonderful dreams continue.
Spectacular Chinese ethnic dances and songs, acrobatics, demonstrations of Guangdong and Hong Kong folk crafts, a Chinese orchestral music performance, music and dance performances, rhythmic gymnastics, a piano DJ session, participatory activities, a wish-making.
Also, to promote Chinese ethnic culture among residents and tourists alike, month-long lantern displays with themes are held around the Mid-Autumn Festival.
