Apple Store Festival Walk Grand opening

29 September, 2012 10:00 – Apple Inc open the 2nd official Apple retail store on Hong Kong. The new store will be located in the Festival Walk Shopping Mall in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon. The first flagship Apple Retail Store in Hong Kong was opened last year (the 23, September 2011) and is located in IFC Shopping Mall in Central.

Before opening, thousand of apple fans already line up at the mall, long queues routed to outside Cornwall Street Park. Instead of Souvenir red t-shirts last year, the new store give out T-shirt in black, and is just a low-key small Apple logo and Festival Walk , followed by printed Designed by Apple in California printed.

Festival Walk branch implement same interior design as other apple retail store, Apple logo above the main entrance, and provide technical support at Genius Bar using the long table design. Light-colored long wooden table placed multiple Apple products, Due to environmental restrictions, the new store missing the glass spiral staircase designed by Steve Jobs, as it only cover one floor at about 15,000 square feet. The monthly rent is about HK$ 3.75 million.

Festival Walk shopping ranges from mid-range to high-end and includes brands such as Francfranc, agnès b flagship store, ck Calvin Klein, Hollister Co, Juicy Couture, and ARTĒ MADRID. The 200 retail and restaurant outlets are also complemented by one of the city’s largest ice rinks and a multi-screen cinema.
