Hong Kong : The Leisure and Cultural Services Department present lantern carnivals, thematic lantern exhibitions and a lantern design competition entries exhibition to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. Lantern Installations at the Victoria Park Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival open to the public from 18 September, 2010 (Sat) to 23 September,2010 (Thu).
The Mid-Autumn Festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar, which usually falls around late September or early October. In 2010, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Wednesday, 22 September 2010. The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties across different countries.

Programme: Chinese ethnic songs and dances, acrobatics, fire dragon dancing parade, pop concert, Chinese traditional stage arts, Chinese instrumental music, film show, origami workshop, make-a-wish corner, lantern quiz, fortune-telling and lantern installations
