Hong Kong Post 80s Anti-Express Railway 八十後五區苦行反高鐵 (hkdigit-20100108-185913)

Hong Kong : 8 Jan., 2010 – A group of young protesters, known as the Post 80s Anti-Express Railway Group (八十後反高鐵青年) continue protest against the demolition of homes in Tsoi Yuen Tsuen (菜園村) to make way for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express rail link project outside the Legislative Council.

They started the 4 day campaign (五區苦行) across five Hong Kong districts from Sheung Shui to to Legislative Council in Central to against approve HK$66.9 billion funding for the Hong Kong section of the express rail link project. Some protesters knelt every 26 steps to protest against the construction of the 26-kilometre Hong Kong section of the rail link.
