Hong Kong : A man ignore the danger to catch bugs beside the seaside. I think he will use the bugs as fishing bait.

When I watch this scene, I think about a Cantonese term “捉蟲入屎窟” , which means “Asking for trouble”

I am not sure, but it seam the bugs are Ligia Oceanica (水曱甴) aka the sea slater or common sea slater or sea roach, which is a marine crustacean which is closely related to woodlice.
